I have had several drawings just crash and give me error messages that I can't find a definition for.

If you could post what the message says and a description of what you were doing at the time, might be able to help a bit more. :D

I pulled up the drawing file to print and got this error.

Not sure about that specific error, but since you said it happens while trying to print maybe try these things.

  • Open the drawing and first thing hit CTRL+SHIFT+C. This should reset the printer settings for the file. Save and close the file and then re-open to try to print.
  • With no files open, go up to File, Repair, leave the defaults and click OK on the first pop-up and then click OK on any messages saying errors were found. Then finally click on the Z-base/Height dialog, if any abnormal entities are listed in the bottom table, click the Flatten button, then click Close. This is a quick tool to hopefully clear any funky entities in the file.
  • You could also create a new blank file and then use File, Import and try to import your working file into it. This process should recreate all the entities and views during the import process. I would Save As to a temporary file name first, close the file, then re-open the file and see it will print then. If everything looks like it's working good, you could Save As back to the original file name.

Try these out, it it doesn't work and you have a Subscription License, you could send the file into Datacad for deeper analysis.

Thank you! Importing the file into a new drawing worked.
