Grey Lines printing over black lines

Hi all,

I'm drawing an elevation and I want to draw all the decorative features of a custom door and have them plot grey but have the outline of the door plot black. I drew everything on the same layer but when I "move>to back" the grey lines they're still printing over the black lines. I've even tried redrawing the black lines so they would be the most recent thing drawn and should plot over the grey lines. Am I missing something?

Thank you

The easiest way is via your pen table. What I have is my grey/half-tone pens highest on your pen table (ie. 1 and 2), then I have the Print Order set to "First".

Others may have some other suggestions.

Good luck!

Alan has the correct advice. This is called Pen Merge, and the way to control it for the "expected" results is to have the lightest pens at the top of the Pen Table, and as they go down, they need to be increasing darkness.
