Hi,
You could Copy and Paste and then Rename in Windows?
Or you could use the Purge menu to Save As a new AEC file. This could correct issues in the file that might be causing this?
Are you opening a file that is on a CD and DataCAD can't put the background files on it?
--just wandering-
Thanks for comments guys.
not using a CD. Being saved into Dropbox folder on PC .
Not heard of Purge menu. will have to investigate that one.

Are you running 23.00.01?
The error you're getting occurs when DataCAD is trying to open the 'Saved As' file (i.e. uncompress the AEC to a $WP file). Are you 'Saving As' to a different folder than where the current drawing is located? If you open the destination folder in a file explorer window, does SavedAs.aec get written to that location? Error 101 means DataCAD was unable to open SavedAs.aec.

Jim Goodman had a specific way to set up and save to Dropbox for remote users to access files from one central location. At the moment I don't recall how he did it, but it was something you had to set up very carefully.
