Just read Feb Cheap Tricks, with the picture of the guy opening his electronic lock with his embedded "chip". Everyone realizes that if there's a "hiccup" in the power grid, the internets, yadayada, that this poor bloke is locked out of his house? And what if your "chip" gets infected with a "virus"? As these things get "smarter", they will also leave open vulnerabilities.

A move to this "feature" would not be a good move.

There is usually always a secondary key/lock feature for those times when the power is out. Not gonna be getting a chip implanted in me anytime soon though, I'm not that lazy. Yet.

Uh ... this chip thing is getting just a little too close to the "mark of the beast", if you ask me.
