I just received this from a local AutoDesk Dealer. This should serve as a reminder of how generous DataCAD LLC's upgrade and pricing policies are.

We recently received this important news from Autodesk and wanted to share it with you because it affects all companies that use Autodesk software. If you are not the individual that is responsible for making these types of decisions, please forward this to the person that is. It will impact your purchase of Autodesk software and subscription, effective immediately.
Effective August 1, 2012, Autodesk is increasing the price of nearly its entire product line by 5%. Additionally, Autodesk will be reducing the multi-year discounts on 3 year Subscription contracts from a 10% to 5% discount.
Effective March 2013 with the release of the Autodesk 2014 product line, Autodesk will be removing legacy pricing, which means that Autodesk software that is 2007 version or older will have $0 value. Therefore, 2007 version licenses or older will not be upgradeable toward future purchases of Autodesk software. Additionally, the cost to upgrade Autodesk software that is from 1 to 6 versions old (2008-2013) will increase to 70% of a new license.
Currently, Autodesk has a price promotion that enables customers to upgrade or purchase new licenses at 20% discount. This promotion is valid until July 13, 2012 and is based on current pricing. This is a great opportunity to not only save 20% today but minimize future price increases.
Someone will contact you very soon concerning this new information but feel free to contact your sales rep for further assistance on this.

AND ...

If you were to purchase a new seat of Acad Architecture 2013 (with a subscription) right now you'd only have to pay $5,655 USD ($4,995 + $660).

If you were to purchase a new seat of DataCAD 14 (with a subscription) right now you'd only have to pay $1,595.00 ($1,295 + $300). 8)

We need to be falling all OVER ourselves to keep our licenses current AND with the yearly subscription, because the alternative is VERY bleak.
