I have been working with Sketchup 2013 quite a bit over the past month and have come across two issues with materials:
1. Certain DataCAD materials that are defined by color only, come in to Sketchup but will not cast or accept shadows. This can be solved by editing the material in Sketchup and changing one of the RGB values by one. This is completely random and can be hard to track down on larger models with numerous materials.
2. DataCAD materials that include a bitmap texture and “Mix texture with rendered color” translate to Sketchup without the color. The material must be edited in Sketchup and the RGB value edited to “tint” the bitmap texture.
Robert: Have you or anyone else run into either of these issues?
