I recently started using a utility called 'Everything' to search for files and folders by name. I highly recommend it as I can search all my drives simultaneously and the results are instantaneous. This program has been around a long time, but I only found out about it a few weeks ago.

Also very handy is a free program called "SpaceMonger" which puts a visual display on your screen that shows the relative size and location of all files on your hard drive. It makes it easy to see what is consuming space.

Amen. Almost as good as CTRL-F in XTree Gold.

For those of us who remember XTree well, there is ZTree (https://www.ztree.com/html/ztreewin.htm) that works in Windows. It's a little long in the tooth (last updated in 2020), but I am able to run it in Windows 11 (must be run in Compatibility Mode for Windows 8 ).
