It is a old rendering program that came with early versions of Datacad. Pre v.8 I believe.

Quite the opposite. It came out with V8 and V9. Prior versions came with RenderStar. I believe it was realised only at the last minute that RS would not work in Windows so Renderise was slipped in as a freebie. This happened a few months after I bought it myself........
