There will apparently be a new, and much more stringent set of standards for getting an Energy Star rating on a computer system.

The only problem is that it will not take effect until 2007, but it is a good thing none-the-less.
BTW, anybody who builds their own computers, or is thinking about it -- the Silent PC Review site is an excellent resource. As computers get more powerful, they get hotter, and so the need to keep them quiet definitely becomes and issue that you need to be concerned about. (I moderate a couple of the forum topic areas on SPCR, as an aside.) So, check it out.
