I have tried to respond to the post on surfboards designed in DCad. Every time I click on respond, I am unable to log in. This might explain the lack of response.

I think surfboard shaping is a craft. More art than science. Idea first, shape second, measure last. Therefore no CAD is a very good proposition and DCad less so than many.

CAM is a different matter. Although boards are so often individual, I imagine profile cutting by following a shaped master would be a legitimate production tool, but I'm not aware of it. There used to be quite a few local board shops but I think most of them have moved to country areas.
