Just received as acad drawing with 'smartwalls' that won't open for me in dcad - any suggestions?

You could possibly ask the same drawing in DXF format, which will convert this walls into 'un'smart walls. Ie geometric entities!

Or in DWG 2000 format.

I think the "smart" walls (from Architectural Desktop?) have to be "exploded" into regular entities before the DWG export. Because, the DWG (and certainly not the DXF) file format(s) do not support them, and they are not automatically converted, either.

BTW, v11.06.00 does support imports of 2004/2005 DWG files.
