business climate in boston area

Does anyone have a feel as to how is the market for structural engineers is in the Boston area? I don't know how many structural guys read this forum, but maybe some of you (architects) can give me an idea as to how busy your consultants are and what the employment climate is. My son is considering relocating to the North Shore and is trying to get a handle on job opportunities.
Any thoughts or feelings would be welcome.
