LED undercabinet lighting?

Hello,

Does anybody know of a 120v hard wired LED undercabinet strip light fixture? Particularly, something with <5000K color temperature (relatively warm white) would be best. I have a quote on some 27.5" units that have just 3 groupings of LED's in them -- I would much prefer a true strip light with individual LED's every couple of inches.

Can someone point me to a fixture that you have seen?

Neil,
I have seen interior designers using just raw uncovered led stripes that are sold in rolls and that come in different color temperatures (or even in colors if needed)... and finish or cover them with virtually anything of one's taste (a metal stripe, timber slat...) My suggestion might possibly be too robust if you need a truly neat prefabricated solution, but in case you would need to hide the light source anyway (that I would expect from an undercabinet fixture), this could be a very simple solution.

I have lighted my home office with a led stripe on the cornice at the top of the wall along the whole perimeter (so that I get nice evenly diffused light reflection from the white ceiling). The stripe requires virtually no space, can not be seen and easily lights up the whole room. Mine has approximately two triple leds per inch.

I have also seen those stripes in a rigid aluminum body.

Regards,
Marko

Thanks Rick,

They have LED replacement for many fluorescent tubes -- interesting...

Neil,

If you're interested in LED fluorescent tubes, here's one that I've come across:

They seem to have some good comparison charts.

Working on the same issue. Try the Lithonia "Rayzer" or the Orion "Super Bright". Make sure to check the output specs. The LED strips do not have enough output to make them acceptable for true undercabiet - task lighting.

Superbrightleds.com also has 100' strips of led's for sale at very reasonable prices, I've been using them for lighting signs with good result.
