We have recently installed Windows XP on our computers and installed the new drivers.

From within DCAD when picking 'user defined' for size, the effective plotting area stays at 6.67" x 9.57", no matter what you type in for size.

Also the plotter seems to plot at the 'normal (final)' quality even though it's set at 'fast (draft)' quality within the printing preferences and the plotter is also set to 'fast'.

Has anyone come across something like this before?

Hello John & welcome,

In WinXP (and in Win2K), you have to use the Start/Settings/Printers control panel to set the range of paper sizes that are listed in the DataCAD plotter setup; and also the print quality is set only from the plotter's control panel.

It would be great to have v12 fix this.
