Here's a rendering plug-in for SketchUp with some potential. A BETA preview is available to try.

Rendering output in the demo is limited to 640x480 and the user-interface is very simple but worth a look.

works. Definitely a step in a direction for me to look at sketchup a little closer. Wish they had more examples. Give it about 2 weeks, Google will gobble them up :D

The full version is out now, for $149 (initial price). I thought it was worth it. It's very easy to use, and within the SketchUp program.

I'm eager to see how DataCAD 12 supports SketchUp models, as I am using the later more and more to generate elevations.
