video card suggestion

Just went to work for a new company. Before I got there they purchased a new Dell computer for me. It came with Dell LCD monitor and standard integtated graphics. Would like to install a graphics card but unsure of which one. Any suggestions?

Two questions:
Does the motherboard have an AGP or a PCI-Express video slot? (You may have to look it up in the manual, or open the cover and take a look.)
Does the LCD monitor have a DVI input, or just the RGB input?
Actually a third question: are you going to do a lot of 3D, or only some 3D, or no 3D?
