Michael,

After looking at your first post, I was wondering how you could forget Vue. :o Now I see that you have them in alphabetical order. Phew! :D

As you know from other posts, I too am a convert to Vue 6 Infinite. I've looked at, used and trialed some of the others over the years (Artlantis, Blender, Cinema 4D, o2c Interactive, SketchUp, Truespace, Visual Reality, and the rendering programs that came with DataCAD 5 thru DataCAD 9 and DataCAD Plus-Arcon), and Vue is the best for me partly because it is more than just a rendering program, it is relatively inexpensive and it is very versatile.

I think that Kerkythea is a great rendering program and you can't beat the price, but that's all it is. When I switched to Vue, I was ready for a program that did a little more, especially in the "plant" area.

I wanted to include them all in a single post, but I wasn't allowed to have that many options. After all of the discussions during the past few months about rendering programs I thought that it would be interesting to see which programs are most used by DataCAD users.

Thanks, Mark! Looks like I'll need to include a poll #3

You might want to add Autodesk Viz which is/was a subset of of 3d Studio specifically geared to architectural modeling and rendering. It was also quite a bit less expensive than Max. My understanding is that Viz is no longer offered. I stopped upgrading at Viz 4 but still use is as my final rendering solution. I use O2C for preliminary presentations and save Viz for final presentations.
