If you're looking for a way to automatically remove parallel distortion from photographs, you might try ShiftN by Marcus Hebel. ShiftN supports batch mode operation and includes command-line parameters.

This appears to have a more architectural approach than the typical picture editor like PaintShopPro. A bit like DataCad, actually.

We where trying to do a photo match in sketchup, but couldn't because of the distortion. This will be great for that.
