RE: Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2007 From: Morry Stafford -- I do use a tool called a Nostromo. It is a left handed game control pad--
I have a new cad operator who brought in his Nostromo Game Pad, pretty neat. He put all the F-buttons at his fingertips and several other buttons to program as he wants. Looks like it could be a production enhancer.

Looks interesting, and at around $60 (Amazon) it doesn't look too expensive either.

I use a twenty year old Northgate keyboard that has the F keys on the left (where they should be on all keyboards) for DataCAD. Loosing that convenience would almost be like loosing DataCAD itself. Being that my keyboard is as old as it is, likely, it's days are numbered.
With this game pad concept, perhaps all is not lost. Since I'm not a gamer, I'd have never noticed this on my own.
Thanks much,
