Is there a way to place a 3D symbol, like a car or tree, and have it automatically find the z-height of the surface it wants to be on. In DataCad Plus I remember having objects that would "Snap" onto a grade plane by just dropping it in the drawing view. I believe the 3D software that was packaged with Plus was called Arcon. Not 100% sure.
Arcon had some great features such as Raytracing. Light & Shadows of your model could be accurately rendered based on your location, time of time of day/month/year. Rendered sections of your model could be done (with rendered images of siding & finishes), Objects could be dropped into your model and automatically fall to the correct ground plane elevation/surface.
Love to see O2C have these capabilities.
