I do not have much experience at deciphering dwg files.
I have just received a heap of dwg files for a swimming pool complex. There are a great number of drawings, which strikes me as odd, but there are some things within the drawings which stike me as even more odd.
Firstly, the drawings seem to be readily importable into DC 12 - this is good. But, without fail every entity on a layer is grouped. Is it normal to group say every dimension on the dimension layer? Or every window and door on their corresponding layer?
Secondly, the elements that identify as symbols are sometimes strange. A line will identify as a symbol. Many seemingly unrelated entities also identify as a symbol.
I was wondering, is it me? Or Datacad? or the strange way in which Autocadders work? Any comments would be appreciated.
