This is useful, I think: you can edit Smart Arrows with the Polyline Edit tools! So, you can delete a bend, or add one, or change it from a straight arrow to an arc, or vise versa.
True, it's a polyline like hatches and fills that you can edit.

Another Cheap Trick for smart arrows: to get two or more arrows pointing in a series, draw the shortest one first, then hit B an pick the angled part of the arrow. Then go to Stretch / Dynamic / And Copy, then pick the arrowhead, and drag to the position of the next arrowhead and click to place it. It copies and stretches the arrow just like you would want it to!
