Dwight and I tested the video stream we are planning to do September 6th. He will be presenting a segment via Skype, so he can share his screen, and I will be live streaming everything from my end via Facebook. Here's the test video:
https://www.facebook.com/neil.blanchard.50/videos/1795915730433685/During this test, my son Nicolas said that he had a better way to do it, using a third party program to merge the screen share with the web cam, called OBS - which stands for Open Broadcasting Studio. So, we tried OBS two ways - first streaming it to Facebook, which is better than the "old fashioned" way we tried first, I think:
https://www.facebook.com/neil.blanchard.50/videos/1795962460429012/The second way uses a server called Twitch.tv instead of FB, and it allows a higher resolution stream than FB, and I can share the link ahead of time, so I think this is the way we will try. https://www.twitch.tv/neilblanchardBoth Twitch and Facebook can be viewed without signing up, but if you want to ask questions via chat, you need to sign up. I am hoping to monitor the chat, so we can answer questions from folks viewing it live.
Either way, the video will be viewable online - Twitch hosts it for 30 days. I would download it (and edit for time) and then upload that to FB, so either way, it would be available after the meeting.
