I have an attribute symbol that is a circle with a letter or number in it. Is there any way to position the letter or number inside the circle so that it's position stays centered if you rotate the symbol?

If you set the text alignment to be Middle and Center, and when placing the symbol make sure "Fix Text" is on, you should be able to rotate and or Dynamically Flip the symbol any direction.
Note, some fonts do this better than others. Font ArchD seems to work for me and my door numbers.

TTFs usually work better for this than the SHX fonts.
