At this point... I'd kill for a smart Match Properties tool. (as in ALL properties... layer, color, spacing, line type, z-base, hatch pattern, hatch scale, number of freckles... Everything. With universal property paint settings across drawing element types for lines, polylines, hatches, fills, m/ptext, pets... Everything.)

And the ability to Trim lines to polylines or polylines to lines... that'd be nice too. They are after all the same... just joined.

Is there such a thing planned or already in existance? Because I'm not looking forward to all that additional time changing properties of individual elements through multiple separate menu paths.

Thanks!

Have you tried Change, Match, All?

You should also be using Identify, Set All if you're not already. After you Set All, you can select Create to go directly to the identified entity's creation menu.

Thats a HUGE help! That gets me about 90% of the way there. Thanks!

Can I make that a button on a toolbar?

A lot of us have modified the DCADWIN.MCR file so that Alt+I does an Identify+Set All. Here is the code I use below.
Code: Select all// Identify Set All
I^·^È^;^S1^$^S8^S0^É^

I believe that you will like that macro command better if you place your cursor over whatever object you want to match before you invoke the command. It automatically matches all of the properties of the entity that is the target. That is the way that I use it and it makes matching all of the properties a single key task.
If you use a button, that makes it a five step process because you... move your cursor to the button, click on the button, move back to the entity, click on it and then exit the command.
It's a wonderful command to have at your fingertips.

p.s. It also makes using proper layering a breeze. If you have anything drawn on which you can pick to identify and set all, you can run through entities on many, many layers without worries. You draw on the layer of your choosing and do not have to worry about needing to change the properties/layer of those entities at a later time.
