I am working on an 8,000 SF house with lot of south facing glass. Several consultants in the project want to have a sun study to help understand where daylight will fall into the interior of the building.
We started the job in pencil and now DD and CD in DataCAD. We did not model the house. We bought out some renderings from way offshore.

The plans and sections are all in DataCAD. Anyone have the time and interest to review drawings and give an idea of cost for completion?

Thank you.

Hi Chris,

You should be able to quickly model the spaces and use DataCAD's Sunshader which will show you the sun paths and also allows saved sun-shadow images that can automatically insert under the floor plan. There's also Dave Henderson's Shadow macro which provides vector-based shadows (hatching) - https://www.dhsoftware.com.au/macros.htm

On the subject of shadows ... I have just made a post on the DDN thread regarding a new Shadow Analysis macro that is currently in the final stages of development.
