I'd really term this a "Cheap Trick", but it isn't specifically for DC, so I've put in "Off Topic":
For those of us that need to deal with truck turning radiuses, I found a **free** add-on to Acad or BricsCAD (my Acad clone of choice) which will plot the inside and outside turning radiuses of various trucks, buses and autos with trailers based on a centerline polyline (note: it MUST be a polyline).
The downside is that if you are in the USA all of the dimensions are in metric, and you either need to scale your polyline (in Imperial units) by 0.0254 or you will need to increase all of the dimensions in the add-on by a factor of 3.048.
Here are the download links:
CadTools (including the Truck Radiuses) for Acad : http://www.glamsen.se/CadTools.htm
BricsTurn (ONLY Truck Radiuses for BricsCad): http://www.glamsen.se/BricsTurn.htm
I tried this in my V10 BricsCad, and once you really get the metric-to-imperial conversions done, it is SLICK!! I have a client that uses an AASHTO WB-67 truck as their standard, and this is one of the standard trucks included. I would imagine you could input other trucks and/or trailers, but I haven't tried it (yet).
