DataCAD System Requirements

System Requirements (Minimum Supported)
While DataCAD may function on older hardware configurations, the following specifications are the minimum supported requirements for optimal performance and stability.

• Processor
  Intel® Core® i3 or AMD Ryzen™ 3 processor
• Operating System
  Microsoft® Windows® 10, or 11 operating system
• RAM
  4 GB for use on Windows 10, 8 GB for Windows 11 (16 GB for better performance)
• Hard Disk
  1GB of free disk space for DataCAD's program files (10 GB free for working space)
• Video
  Graphics adapter with driver support for OpenGL® version 1.6 or higher
  Full HD (1920x1080) monitor and display adapter capable of 24-bit color or higher
• Pointing Device
  Microsoft-compatible mouse or touchpad (3-button mouse recommended)
• Internet
  An active Internet connection is needed for product activation, license validation, and program updates.
  Once activated, DataCAD will run offline for 45 days until online license validation is needed.

Notes:

• DataCAD runs as a 32-bit application on 64-bit versions of Windows.
• The Sun Shader's performance relies heavily on the display adapter driver and its ability to support OpenGL 1.6 or higher.
• To check available free storage space prior to installation, type storage in the Windows search box then select Storage settings under Best match. Under System > Storage, the amount of storage space used and free are shown.
